Psalm 139:19-24
19 Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God!
O men of blood, depart from me!
20 They speak against you with malicious intent;
your enemies take your name in vain.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against you?
22 I hate them with complete hatred;
I count them my enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting! ESV
Psalm 139:19-24 How are you doing in this race called life? How do you judge or rate yourself? Do you compare yourself to others or to God? How well do you know God? The Psalmist desires to love what God loves and to hate what God hates. Yes God does hate sin & the wicked. The Psalmist gets that he does not always side with God. He prays & pleads with God to search his heart & to know his thoughts. Does God know your thoughts & your motives? Yes God knows all of them & He can transform your thoughts & He can give you a new heart. Ask God to renew your thoughts through His Holy Word. Ask that you would love what God loves & hate the things He hates. One day that will be a completed process. Pray through the words of this Psalm.
